There are times in life when you need a kind heart and warm spirit to bring light to your situation. God uses the Pastoral Ministry to help you in these times.

The Pastoral Ministry serves in the following areas:

  • Hospital Visitation
  • Nursing Home Visitation
  • Calls and cards to members recently released from the hospital
  • Funeral Visitation
  • Homebound Communion
  • Minister on call 24 hours a day for emergency situations (502) 253-8000
  • Prayer Ministry | 12-hour Prayer line (502) 253-8485
  • Grief Ministry
  • Support/Recovery Groups for Health Issues:
    • Alzheimer’s Disease Support
    • Cancer Care
    • Chronic Pain and Illness (Hopekeepers)

    Do you need to: Send a Prayer Request? Report a Death? Report a Hospitalization? Request communion be brought to you? Visit the Grief Ministry.

    Offering hope and support through sharing with others after the death of a loved one.

    A nine-week workshop designed to teach you how to understand and copy with various stages of grief.
  • Counseling Ministry
    SCC has a staff of counselors ready to pray with you, counsel you, and help you through the ups and downs of this life.
  • Encounter
    Thursday night Encounter is a weekly worship opportunity for people to experience growth, find hope, and receive help for a range of life situations — from everyday challenges to more severe crises. Encounter Groups meet immediately following the service.
  • Other Support/Recovery Groups
    We have a variety of other support and recovery groups we offer. Each group functions independently with different formats and curriculum. All groups and workshops are open to members and non-members.
  • Financial Counseling
    We offer hope, spiritual guidance and sustainability. Become good stewards of what God has blessed you with by discovering freedom from debt and God’s desires for your financial life.
