LifeBridge
So that alleviating poverty in our community can become reality.
Have you ever stopped to think about how many people are in need in our community? The LifeBridge Donation Center is here to ease some of the pain felt from poverty. Volunteers collect and sort clothing and other items for distribution into the community at the LifeBridge Donation Center.
Volunteer
Volunteers are needed to sort and box donations such as gently used clothing, non-perishable food, hygiene items, household items, etc. Times and dates are flexible based on your availability. For additional information, please contact Lisa Reynolds at 253-8146 or lreynolds@secc.org.
Basic Needs Drive
Everyday items meeting everyday needs.
In the book of 1 John false teachers were trying to mislead first-century Christians by denying, among other things, the true humanity of Christ. 1 John 3:17-18 teaches of loving one another…”If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” Through the Basic Needs Drives members can help meet everyday needs of the community and show the love of Christ with actions and in truth.
On a quarterly basis, during the Basic Needs Drive members are asked to bring various items to weekend services. Members leave the items behind their cars during worship. These items are then collected and sorted by volunteers then distributed the following week to local ministries that Southeast supports.
