Rusty is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University with a BA in Biblical Studies. In the past 17 years as an ordained minister, he has held positions as a Senior Minister, a Christian school teacher, researcher for the Preaching Team at Southeast, and Director of Family Ministries.

With four small children at home currently, Rusty is often drawn to Ephesians 6:4 (NIV), "Fathers, do not exasperate your children. Instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."

Family 
Rusty's wife Kellie is well known to our congregation as one of the volunteer vocal team members who help lead worship on the weekends. Until recently he was best known as "The Preacher’s Son," but now he's "Kellie’s Husband." They have four children: Charlie, Tommy, Kimberly and Johnny.

Hunting and fishing, Louisville Cardinals football and basketball
