The mission of the Community Ministry Team here at Southeast is to assist members in connecting to one another through serving projects. It is our prayer that as you serve together you will demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ, thereby connecting others to Jesus.
Southeast Christian Church is often asked about our involvement in the local community. After much study and prayer, our church has elected to not replicate ministries already located in our community meeting needs on a daily basis. Instead, we have chosen to funnel financial and volunteer resources into those organizations we believe are most effectively meeting those needs. Please click here for a listing of these organizations/agencies.
There are multiple opportunities to serve with different organizations throughout our community. To locate specific opportunities for you or your community group to serve, please click on the ServeMinder button below.
If you locate an organization that meets a need where you or your community group could connect in serving but can't find a project that meets your timeline, please contact Lisa Meece at (502) 253-8090 and WE WILL HELP YOU GET CONNECTED!
Agency Spotlight: A Woman's Choice/Necole's Place A Woman’s Choice Resource Center is committed to reaching abortion-minded women through the gospel of Christ, in the hopes of saving both the mother and the child. Last year, more than 500 babies were born due to the efforts of AWC.
Necole’s Place is where real life transformation happens on a daily basis. Many moms see Christ’s love demonstrated for the first time through the staff and volunteers who help them study the Bible, complete their GEDs, and minister to their children. There are many ways to connect to Necole’s Place!
A background check is required to work with children. For more information, contact Lisa Meece at 253-8090 or lmeece@secc.org.
