Southeast Christian Church partners with moms and dads to help kids Know God and His love for them, Grow in faith and love Christ, and Show God’s love to others. Our programs meet kids right where they are and help them to discover God and His Word on their own level. We know that kids are not just the church of tomorrow, but they are the church of today!

Kids love SE!KIDS because the programs are fun and the volunteers take time to get to know each child’s name and story. Parents love SE!KIDS because the programming is educational and because safety/security is a top priority.

We encourage parents to know what your child is studying and make applications throughout the week. We offer several resources to assist you. Each month, we issue a new edition of the Mom & Dad Connection Newsletter with information about what your child is being taught and ideas to keep the learning going at home.

We also recommend visiting and using studio252.tv–It’s a great resource that complements our curriculum and provides fun tools to help kids continue to learn.

The safety of your child while in our care is of great importance to us.

In order for your child to attend any of our classes on the weekend, you will need to visit one of the Children’s Ministry Check-in Desks. If you are checking in more than one child, you will be able to check all of your children in at one time. Each weekend a trained volunteer will assist you in checking in your child. Please be sure to tell the volunteer that your child is staying for two hours if you plan to attend worship during the first service and volunteer during the second service. Your child will be given a room assignment and security/check-in tags. The tag will include a three-digit security code. Place the tag on your child’s shirt and drop your child off at his assigned room.

Remember to keep the other security tag. You will need that tag to pick up your child after service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Check in begins 30 minutes prior to service time.
In order for your child to attend any of our children’s programming on the weekend, first-time guests will need to check in their child by filling out some brief paperwork. To save time, click here to register your children for check-in ahead of time.
In an effort to ensure greater security, our check-in system will assign separate security codes for each of your children. You will notice the age of each of your children followed by their security code on your security tag. Make sure you keep your security tag because you will have to show it at each room you visit to pick up your children.
Everyone picking up a child must have a security tag. If you have lost your security tag, you will need to speak with a staff member and show your driver’s license to verify that you are who should be picking up the child.
That means we need you to come and care for your child. Please go directly to the room where you dropped off your child. A volunteer leader or staff member will meet you and let you know what your child needs. If you are unsure which room to go to, please find a staff member wearing a green SE!KIDS lanyard.

First Look for Babies, Ones, and Twos

First Look curriculum is written to provide little ones their first look at who God is and to help them begin to understand these Three Basic Truths:

  • God Made Me
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14
  • God Loves Me
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
  • Jesus Wants to be My Forever Friend
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Age Group

  • Infants First Look
Volunteers incite wonder in the hearts of babies as they speak simple Bible truths to them. They are teaching them that “God Made Them, God Loves Them, and Jesus Wants to be Their Forever Friend” as they lovingly hold, rock, sing, play, and care for these sweet little ones. Volunteers have the privilege of sharing these Biblical truths that are essential to their future spiritual growth.
  • Ones First Look
Volunteers speak Bible truths to one-year-olds from the moment they are welcomed into the room through purposeful play timesand age-appropriate Bible activities. Ones are engaged in various activities that will continue to help them grow in their understanding of the Three Basic Truths: God Made Me, God Loves Me, and Jesus Wants to be My Forever Friend.
  • Twos First Look
Volunteers emphasize a monthly bottom line through creative, interactive, and age-specific activities. Storytelling in this nurturing environment introduces two-year-olds to God’s True Word, the Bible, and helps them to begin to apply it to how they should behave every day.

Thank you for sharing your little ones with us! Each week we strive to present Biblical truths in creative, memorable ways. We do all of this so that a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ can begin.

The Preschool Ministry wants to instill a deep-rooted faith in our children. We start by focusing on teaching The Big 3:

  1. God made me.
  2. God loves me.
  3. Jesus wants to be my forever friend.

Clubhouse Chapel

Children’s preschool worship is an hour specifically designed to encourage children to build relationships with others their age, participate in a time of song/praise, and be presented with age-appropriate biblical lessons.

Preschoolers are moved to the large group worship room by their adult coach for Clubhouse Chapel. After worship is complete, children are escorted back to their original classroom and become involved in a time of planned follow-up and discussion of the Chapel lesson.

We encourage parents to get involved with what your child is studying and to make applications throughout the week. We offer several resources to assist you.

Worship

Worship is designed for students in kindergarten through grade 5. They begin in small groups, then join together for an age-appropriate worship service. Every aspect of worship is designed to reinforce our BIG Idea for the month. Students sing high-energy worship songs, memorize Scripture, and participate in interactive Bible teaching. Upper Elementary students are offered an opportunity to take communion. After worship, they break into small group discussion.
