Girls Ministry Associate & Operations

If you have a heart for ministry with the Middle through High School age group, can work both behind the scenes in an administrative capacity and lead girls, this may be a position for you to consider. Things you would be doing:

Girls Ministry Associate

  • Develop a culture of discipleship for female volunteers and students. Intentionally invest in girls/women.
  • Lead a team of volunteers to plan and carry out girl-specific events.
  • Develop, equip & oversee teams of volunteers to pastorally connect with moms and female students based on needs.
  • Attend weekly NextGen programming. Encourage, equip & empower female volunteers/students.
  • Join the rest of the student ministry team in recruiting new volunteers.
  • Assist student ministry team in connecting with local schools (personal emphasis on 1 schools)

 

Operations

  • Receive and respond to all general communications [phone, email, etc.] regarding questions and ministry information.
  • Provide support for planning/executing of major NextGen events [i.e. Bible & Beach, Believe, MIX]
  • Oversee administrative prep and follow up of weekend services.
  • Connect interested/potential volunteers to the on-boarding process.
  • Attend and participate in weekly SW NextGen staff and church-wide meetings.
  • Handle purchasing/ordering of items, reservations and ministry scheduling.
  • Manage ministry communication strategies – mailings, emails, website, social media, bulletin, etc.

Security Assistant

Are you friendly and helpful?  Would you enjoy providing a safe and welcoming environment to members and visitors?  The Security Assistant supports our security team by maintaining systems at the front security desk and assisting people as they enter the building by providing directions, answering questions, contacting ministries, and shuttling items as needed.  

Essential Competencies:

Maintenance Technician

Do you have the skills to maintain the interior of buildings at the 920 Blankenbaker campus and keep them in excellent working order?  The Maintenance Tech will perform technical facilities maintenance within designated areas in alignment with our mission of connecting people to Jesus and each other.

Essential Functions

  • Receives work orders from supervisor and carries them out to their completion daily.
  • Performs repairs, adjustments and maintenance on commercial or residential building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical equipment; maintains boilers, motors, fans and related mechanical equipment.
  • Operates computerized HVAC control systems; monitors and adjusts controls.
  • Performs regularly scheduled maintenance of building systems:  replaces belts, bearings, and seals; changes filters; lubricates parts; cleans coils; cuts and replaces pipe.
  • Performs carpentry tasks:  repairs furniture, builds cabinets, repairs doors and performs minor remodeling.
  • Paints interior and exterior building surfaces; paints fixtures and furniture.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • A wide range of mechanical skills, including skilled use of tools and power equipment.  Any specialty in maintenance is desirable.
  • One year or more of building maintenance experience, preferable in a large building.
  • Ability to skillfully operate in a Windows Operating System and to operate building management systems.

Summary/Objective

Essential Functions

  • Provide oversight to all ministry support areas of the campus with a ministry-minded, people-focused heart

Student Worship & Creative Arts Pastor

He is actively engaging with civic organizations, schools, businesses and other churches. This is not a preaching position, but a pastoral role in which the focus is time spent immersed in the community.

  • Engage in mission/vision of SECC by planting, developing, and shepherding disciple-making communities in neighborhoods throughout Louisville
  • Identify, recruit, train, deploy and provide ongoing coaching of Disciple-Makers who connect people to Jesus and one another

  • Develop and Implement weekly student programming for High School and Middle School, in both large group and small group settings.
  • Shepherd, lead, disciple, train and empower a base of volunteers to disciple students .
  • Come alongside parents and equip them to disciple their children on a daily basis.

  • Participate with the campus staff in on-going outreach to the community.
  • Participate in weekend services with baptisms, communion meditations and announcements when needed.

Additional duties may include general building maintenance, lighting repairs, carpentry, event support, flooring, drywall, light framing, and painting.  This role is based out of the Blankenbaker campus with responsibilities at all the campuses.  Are you the person we need to keep systems in excellent working condition in order to accomplish the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church? 
 

Essential Functions

  • Remove, replace, align and service a set of bolted, serviceable, semi-hermetic reciprocating refrigerant compressors.
  • Remove heads and clean condensing tubes on the reciprocating compressors and on centrifugal compressor chillers.
  • Separate centrifugal pumps from motors, service and re-build pumps, re-assemble and re-align pumps.
  • Repair, remove, and replace refrigerant coils.
  • Work competently with split, roof top unit, and mini split HVAC systems.
  • Repair, remove, replace, and service condensing and non-condensing boilers.
  • Repair, remove, and replace expansion valves.
  • Re-build large actuators.
  • Repair, remove, and replace butterfly valves, three way valves and triple duty valves.
  • Repair, service, and replace automatic control valves.

Do you have a passion for children and serving others?  Would you enjoy working three to nine hours per week on a flexible schedule?  The ideal candidate will enjoy caring for children from birth through the fifth grade while their parents are deepening their faith at weekday and evening events.  Responsibilities include leading a Bible-based lesson and providing age-appropriate activities and basic care while encouraging each child to build a relationship with Jesus.  Must have a demonstrated agreement with Southeast's statement of faith.  Work times vary, however, current needs are as follows:

Our Children’s Ministry at the Crestwood Campus has an opening for a part-time weekend-only staff position.  The position requires working a minimum of 3 services most weekends which results in about 4 - 5 hours.  The role requires great flexibility as each weekend this staff person is placed in the areas of Children’s Ministry most in need, which allows us to maintain a safe, nurturing and learning environment for the children.  Therefore the desired individual must be able to work with all ages of children from birth through elementary. Some physical lifting, getting up and down from the floor, and standing/walking are necessary. 

Must be a minimum of age 16 to apply.  If you have a heart for children, are available to work on weekends and seek a part-time job, perhaps this role is for you. To be considered applicant must be a member and have a demonstrated alignment with Southeast's statement of faith.
