Connections Pastor

The Connections Pastor for groups will connect new members and attendees at the Blankenbaker Campus into the life and mission of the church. He will execute a strategic connection plan to develop and launch groups, both on and off campus. This person will, also, work with volunteer leaders to connect members and attendees of the church into group life. The Connections Pastor for groups will continue to develop and cultivate a healthy volunteer culture that will uphold and promote the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.


Essential Functions

  • Group Life
  • Working in collaboration with Ministry Leaders the Connections Pastor owns the attendance and registration data for on/off campus groups ensuring the church’s database system is current and providing reliable data
  • Ensure the Connections process/pipeline effectively and efficiently connects guests and new members with on/off campus groups through direct referrals
  • Partner with Southeast staff to leverage story telling channels (Next Magazine, Outlook, Social Networks, etc.) to frequently share stories of life change and multiplication so the disciple-making vision of the church is celebrated and championed
  • Collaborate with Campus and Community Pastors to:
    • Ensure individuals and groups are taking their next steps each time groups launch
    • Ensure that disciple-making training is being offered on a regular basis.

  • Attendance Reporting: all groups (weekend, weekday, home group, semester)

Facilities Project Manager

Community Pastor

The Community Pastor will focus on launching and developing Disciple-Making Communities in neighborhoods and workplaces throughout Louisville. This person is absolutely committed to the vision of seeing the Gospel in walking distance of every neighborhood, workplace, and school throughout this area. He will seek to align with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church by identifying, recruiting, training and deploying Disciple-Making Leaders throughout his specified region.


Essential Functions

  • Engage in mission/vision of SECC by planting, developing, and shepherding disciple-making communities in neighborhoods throughout Louisville
  • Identify, recruit, train, deploy and provide ongoing coaching of Disciple-Makers who connect people to Jesus and one another
  • Assist in connecting new members/visitors to involvement within SECC
  • Engage and partner with local faith/like-minded leaders embedded in the community for purposes of prayer, restoration and community transformation
  • Invest in community through local leadership/organizational infrastructure (housing associations, chamber of commerce etc.

The MSM Groups Associate is responsible for leading, overseeing, developing, and fostering a culture that helps to root middle school students in their faith within the context of building up believers. Facilities Oversight Tech

Do you enjoying making repairs and insuring a facility is well-maintained? Are you mechanically inclined? Our E-Town Campus is looking for a problem-solver with a servant attitude to oversee the campus buildings and grounds, make minor repairs, conduct preventative maintenance, and assist with room set up and clean up. This person will report to the E-Town Campus Support Pastor and will follow procedures and protocol set in place by the Facilities Ministry at the Blankenbaker campus, and with contractors, to ensure work is performed safely and in a way that accomplishes the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church. The schedule is about 20 to 25 hours per week.

Some things you would do:

  • Responsible for general maintenance oversight of buildings and grounds; adhering to policies & procedures established by SCC
  • Coordinate and lead a team of volunteers in the area of building maintenance & landscaping
  • Consult, coordinate and assist with Blankenbaker Maintenance Team for repairs etc
  • Coordinate and serve as liaison with contractors for building/grounds maintenance & repairs
  • Generate, receive and complete work orders using the CMMS work order system
  • Insure HVAC is working properly and that thermostats are appropriately set.

Our E-Town Campus team is currently recruiting for a part-time Café Manager. The Café is an important meeting and greeting place for those who may visit or attend.  This person is vital to ensuring the smooth running of the Café by overseeing all processes. This part-time position will average around 10 to 12 hours per week and requires weekday and weekend shifts. A potential schedule is:

Lighting Director

The role of Lighting Director is first and foremost to be a disciple-maker. The Lighting Director will lead a lighting team that oversees the creative and functional use of lighting for the Blankenbaker campus. The objective of this role is to create and maintain sustainable and reliable lighting systems, as well as the development of volunteers for all weekend services, special events and programs occurring within their venue. Everything will be done with the primary purpose of achieving the mission, vision, and strategies of Production Arts and Southeast Christian Church.

Essential Functions

  • Provides leadership development for the members of the lighting/scenic team
  • Create a lighting training program to increase quality volunteer participation
  • Provide direction and lighting support for regional campuses as directed by Director of Production Arts
  • Continually looking for ways to enhance lighting/scenic creativity
  • Recruiting, equipping, scheduling, encouraging and disciple-making of the lighting team
  • Direct all aspects of lighting involved in weekend services and events
  • Partner with Prod. Arts Producer to design and create lighting applications beneficial to all programming happening within the venue

Essential Competencies

  • Have a solid working knowledge of how audio, video and staging integrates with lighting design
  • Have a solid understanding of how lighting crosses over into live streaming and pre/post production
  • Competency in live lighting production and lighting systems, variety of lighting fixtures, hazers, and various lighting equipment
  • Working knowledge of lighting consoles, ProPresenter and various other playback applications
  • Must be a developer and equipper of volunteer leaders

HSM Worship Pastor

The HSM Worship Pastor role is responsible for overseeing and developing the musical side of the high school weekly services with volunteer worship teams. This happens in partnership with both the high school team leader and the middle school worship pastor in both philosophy and program collaboration. This role also shapes the beliefs and values of what Biblical worship is in high school while ensuring alignment with the vision, mission, and strategies of Southeast Christian.


Essential Functions:

  • Weekly maintenance of planning center account for high school services

  • Weekly coordination & collaboration with high school service producer, production, and high school team members.

  • Disciple and develop teams of musicians and vocalists that volunteer in HSM worship

  • Pastor high school students

  • Shape beliefs and values of Biblical worship on and off the stage with high school ministry

  • Lead worship weekly in high school services, retreats, and camps

  • Have a healthy working relationship & partnership with Awaken Worship.

  • Co-lead Awaken Youth projects and events with both the middle school worship pastor & Next Gen Lead Pastor.

  • Build relationships with other Next-Gen Worship Pastors on other campuses

  • Shape skill development and disciple making of volunteers in unity with middle school worship pastor

  • Print charts, load tracks, and lead rehearsals for weekly worship programs

Do you have the skills to maintain the interior of buildings at the 920 Blankenbaker campus and keep them in excellent working order?  The Maintenance Tech will perform technical facilities maintenance within designated areas in alignment with our mission of connecting people to Jesus and each other.

Essential Functions
  • Receives work orders from supervisor and carries them out to their completion daily.
  • Performs repairs, adjustments and maintenance on commercial or residential building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical equipment; maintains boilers, motors, fans and related mechanical equipment.
  • Operates computerized HVAC control systems; monitors and adjusts controls.
  • Performs regularly scheduled maintenance of building systems:  replaces belts, bearings, and seals; changes filters; lubricates parts; cleans coils; cuts and replaces pipe.
  • Performs carpentry tasks:  repairs furniture, builds cabinets, repairs doors and performs minor remodeling.
  • Paints interior and exterior building surfaces; paints fixtures and furniture.

  • High school diploma.
  • A wide range of mechanical skills, including skilled use of tools and power equipment.  Any specialty in maintenance is desirable.
  • One year or more of building maintenance experience, preferable in a large building.
  • Ability to skillfully operate in a Windows Operating System and to operate building management systems.
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends.
  • Ability to act independently to take approved corrective actions.

Our Children’s Ministry at the Crestwood Campus has an opening for a part-time weekend-only staff position.  The position requires working a minimum of 3 services most weekends which results in about 4 - 5 hours.  The role requires great flexibility as each weekend this staff person is placed in the areas of Children’s Ministry most in need, which allows us to maintain a safe, nurturing and learning environment for the children.  Therefore the desired individual must be able to work with all ages of children from birth through elementary. Some physical lifting, getting up and down from the floor, and standing/walking are necessary.
