Event Coordinator

  • Oversee the execution of church-wide events from start to finish; offering practical direction, coordinating details and logistics, and solving problems that arise.
  • Act as a liaison between the ministry/outside group requesting an event and the supporting staff/vendors who service the event.
  • Maintain a presence at major events to oversee set up/tear down and respond to needs that arise.
  • Utilize facility scheduling software to review and approve event requests. Process check requests, contracts, and certificates of insurance when required. Maintain detailed records of expenditures, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Ensure events are executed in a manner that allows members and visitors to connect to Jesus and one another without distractions and in a way that supports the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

Do you have a journeyman HVAC license, EPA-609 universal certification, and five or more years of  commercial HVAC repair experience?  Do you want to be a part of our mission to connect people to Jesus and one another?  The HVAC Mechanic will diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, remove, replace, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a diverse set of HVAC mechanical equipment while functioning as a member of the general maintenance team.   • Remove, replace, align and service a set of bolted, serviceable, semi-hermetic reciprocating refrigerant compressors.
  • Remove heads and clean condensing tubes on the reciprocating compressors and on centrifugal compressor chillers.
  • Separate centrifugal pumps from motors, service and re-build pumps, re-assemble and re-align pumps.

Summary/Objective

The Short-term Logistics Associate is responsible for leading, overseeing, developing and fostering a culture surrounding International short-term mission trips and site visits to SECC partners. The Short-term Logistics Associate will help to maintain alignment with the mission, vision and strategies of Southeast Christian Church as it pertains to mission trips.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Process International short-term/site visit applications via online system (ServiceReef)

  • Collect, process and track all forms needed for trips including visas, state department registration and SOS and Gallagher insurance.

  • On-going communication with Southeast mission partners, team leaders and team members regarding financials and logistics pre-trip.

  • Prepare materials for team leaders for first team meeting and retreat.

  • Debrief with team leaders and available team members post-trip alongside appropriate attendees.

  • Work with Legal Department regarding high-risk releases, trip specific.

  • Assist with Launch Weekend, Team Leader Training and committee meetings.

  • Post and report trip contributions, i.e. cash and checks and maintain excel sheet for accountability.

  • Coordinate, when applicable, team retreats.

  • Post trip expenses on trip budget sheets and request partner and trip leader on-field expense checks as well as cashing all checks.

The Connections Pastor for groups will connect new members and attendees at the Blankenbaker Campus into the life and mission of the church. He will execute a strategic connection plan to develop and launch groups, both on and off campus. This person will, also, work with volunteer leaders to connect members and attendees of the church into group life. The Connections Pastor for groups will continue to develop and cultivate a healthy volunteer culture that will uphold and promote the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

The Community Pastor will focus on launching and developing Disciple-Making Communities in neighborhoods and workplaces throughout Louisville. This person is absolutely committed to the vision of seeing the Gospel in walking distance of every neighborhood, workplace, and school throughout this area. He will seek to align with the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church by identifying, recruiting, training and deploying Disciple-Making Leaders throughout his specified region.

 

Essential Functions

  • Engage in mission/vision of SECC by planting, developing, and shepherding disciple-making communities in neighborhoods throughout Louisville
  • Identify, recruit, train, deploy and provide ongoing coaching of Disciple-Makers who connect people to Jesus and one another
  • Assist in connecting new members/visitors to involvement within SECC
  • Engage and partner with local faith/like-minded leaders embedded in the community for purposes of prayer, restoration and community transformation
  • Invest in community through local leadership/organizational infrastructure (housing associations, chamber of commerce etc.
  • Build upon the established missional network in Louisville by identifying, recruiting, and partnering with individuals and organizations that are living out the Gospel

Do you have a passion for children and serving others?  Would you enjoy working three to nine hours per week on a flexible schedule?  The ideal candidate will enjoy caring for children from birth through the fifth grade while their parents are deepening their faith at weekday and evening events.  Responsibilities include leading a Bible-based lesson and providing age-appropriate activities and basic care while encouraging each child to build a relationship with Jesus.  Must have a demonstrated agreement with Southeast's statement of faith.  Work times vary, however, current needs are as follows:

 

Indiana: Wednesday mornings; Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

Crestwood: Wednesday and Thursday mornings; Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

LaGrange: Wednesday mornings; Tuesday evenings; plus occasional Sunday evenings.

Campus Care Team Member - Part Time

Would you enjoy making areas of the Blankenbaker campus conspicuously clean and inviting?  Come help us create an environment where all can gather without distraction to fulfill the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church. Responsibilities include general housekeeping duties and helping with event set-up.  This is a part-time role working approximately 25 hours/week, daytime hours, Monday-Friday.

 

Essential Functions

  • Weekly cleaning of certain areas of the campus including bathrooms, windows, and floors.
  • Removing trash from all areas of the campus.
  • Assisting with room set up and tear down.

Facilities Oversight Tech

Do you enjoying making repairs and insuring a facility is well-maintained? Are you mechanically inclined? Our E-Town Campus is looking for a problem-solver with a servant attitude to oversee the campus buildings and grounds, make minor repairs, conduct preventative maintenance, and assist with room set up and clean up. This person will report to the E-Town Campus Support Pastor and will follow procedures and protocol set in place by the Facilities Ministry at the Blankenbaker campus, and with contractors, to ensure work is performed safely and in a way that accomplishes the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church. The schedule is about 20 to 25 hours per week.

Some things you would do:

  • Responsible for general maintenance oversight of buildings and grounds; adhering to policies & procedures established by SCC
  • Coordinate and lead a team of volunteers in the area of building maintenance & landscaping
  • Consult, coordinate and assist with Blankenbaker Maintenance Team for repairs etc
  • Coordinate and serve as liaison with contractors for building/grounds maintenance & repairs
  • Generate, receive and complete work orders using the CMMS work order system
  • Insure HVAC is working properly and that thermostats are appropriately set.

Weekday Childcare Coordinator (Part-Time)

Are you passionate about connecting children to Jesus?  Are you an organized leader?  The Weekday Childcare Coordinator will coordinate schedules for childcare workers and provide a safe, clean, and fun environment for children during weekday events, primarily in the evenings.  This role supports the other ministries of the Crestwood campus while adhering to the vision, mission, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.  This is a Monday - Friday position with evening and daytime shifts that total approximately 15 hours/week . 

 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate schedules for childcare workers.
  • Maintain a safe environment for children and childcare workers.
  • Collaborate with childcare staff from others campuses for standardized practices.
  • Partner with campus staff to create and maintain adequate childcare space.
  • Understand role as a support ministry and partner with campus staff to determine best practices and needs for each ministry.
  • Provide basic, minimal adaptation of weekend curriculum for weekday programming.
  • Be a compassionate and flexible team leader.
  • Maintain records and administrative paperwork.
  • Approve payroll.
  • Set up rooms as needed.
  • Clean/launder toys and other items as needed.
  • Provide first aid and seek medical help as needed.

Are you a proven leader with financial expertise and high-level strategic planning skills?  This vital role requires proactive financial oversight of all areas of the church to insure financial decisions are made appropriately and with the upmost integrity.  In addition to leading the Finance Ministry teams, this servant-leader communicates routinely with the Elder Board regarding the financial status of the church and collaborates with ministry leaders to enure their vision is supported while maintaining the mission, vision, and strategies of Southeast Christian Church.

Essential Functions:
  • Lead the following teams:  Accounting, Accounts Payable, Contributions, Payroll, Construction Accounting, Audit, Attendance & Insurance, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, and Document Services.
  • Insure clarity on controls, policies, and procedures and the highest level of stewardship of our financial resources.
  • Oversee annual budget preparation for the church.
  • Assist Elders and Lead Team with financial planning.
  • Assist ministries with financial planning and problem resolution.
  • Handle real estate donations.
  • Assist in the review of contracts; sign contracts.
  • Plan and implement new accounting systems.
  • Serve on the Finance Committee, Investment Committee, Compensation Committee and Audit Committee.
  • Partner with the HR Leader in negotiations of most benefit plans, such as health insurance.
  • Partner closely with the HR Ministry on monitoring and forecasting payroll and benefits expenses.

Lighting Director

Summary/Objective

The role of Lighting Director is first and foremost to be a disciple-maker. The Lighting Director will lead a lighting team that oversees the creative and functional use of lighting for the Blankenbaker campus. The objective of this role is to create and maintain sustainable and reliable lighting systems, as well as the development of volunteers for all weekend services, special events and programs occurring within their venue. Everything will be done with the primary purpose of achieving the mission, vision, and strategies of Production Arts and Southeast Christian Church.

Essential Functions

  • Provides leadership development for the members of the lighting/scenic team
  • Create a lighting training program to increase quality volunteer participation
  • Provide direction and lighting support for regional campuses as directed by Director of Production Arts
  • Continually looking for ways to enhance lighting/scenic creativity
  • Recruiting, equipping, scheduling, encouraging and disciple-making of the lighting team
  • Direct all aspects of lighting involved in weekend services and events
  • Partner with Prod. Arts Producer to design and create lighting applications beneficial to all programming happening within the venue
  • Active participant in weekly team meetings
  • Develops and adheres to annual lighting budget
  • Create and implement lighting improvements and equipment upgrade plans
  • Managing all lighting assets and spaces
  • Develop and maintain healthy relationships with other ministry departments and campuses

  • Have a solid working knowledge of how audio, video and staging integrates with lighting design
  • Have a solid understanding of how lighting crosses over into live streaming and pre/post production
  • Competency in live lighting production and lighting systems, variety of lighting fixtures, hazers, and various lighting equipment

Do you have the skills to maintain the interior of buildings at the 920 Blankenbaker campus and keep them in excellent working order?  The Maintenance Tech will perform technical facilities maintenance within designated areas in alignment with our mission of connecting people to Jesus and each other.

Essential Functions
  • Receives work orders from supervisor and carries them out to their completion daily.
  • Performs repairs, adjustments and maintenance on commercial or residential building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical equipment; maintains boilers, motors, fans and related mechanical equipment.
  • Operates computerized HVAC control systems; monitors and adjusts controls.
  • Performs regularly scheduled maintenance of building systems:  replaces belts, bearings, and seals; changes filters; lubricates parts; cleans coils; cuts and replaces pipe.
  • Performs carpentry tasks:  repairs furniture, builds cabinets, repairs doors and performs minor remodeling.
  • Paints interior and exterior building surfaces; paints fixtures and furniture.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma.
  • A wide range of mechanical skills, including skilled use of tools and power equipment.  Any specialty in maintenance is desirable.
  • One year or more of building maintenance experience, preferable in a large building.
  • Ability to skillfully operate in a Windows Operating System and to operate building management systems.
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends.
  • Ability to act independently to take approved corrective actions.

Children's Weekend Only WIN Staff

Our Children’s Ministry at the Crestwood Campus has an opening for a part-time weekend-only staff position.  The position requires working a minimum of 3 services most weekends which results in about 4 - 5 hours.  The role requires great flexibility as each weekend this staff person is placed in the areas of Children’s Ministry most in need, which allows us to maintain a safe, nurturing and learning environment for the children.  Therefore the desired individual must be able to work with all ages of children from birth through elementary. Some physical lifting, getting up and down from the floor, and standing/walking are necessary.
