Senior Living Outreach - Ice Cream Social

This is one of the most popular Senior Living Outreaches we offer all year long! Kits are available with the supplies and decorations needed to plan a fun and delicious ice cream social. We also have lots of new puzzles available in a variety of sizes. 

This outreach has lots of room for flexibility and creativity. The ice cream social can be held anytime in June or July, indoors or outdoors, and although it is ideal as an opportunity to gather, ice cream can also be delivered to residents in their rooms for those who are less mobile. You might even decide to offer old-fashioned root beer or Coke floats instead of—or along with—sundaes! 

Please work with the facility's Activities Director to schedule the best time/date and other details for the ice cream social. Be sure to ask the facility if they would like to receive puzzles and, if so, how many? 

To reserve an ice cream social kit and puzzles, please do the following no later than June 28. 

Contact the Activities Director at the facility you would like to serve. Work with them to set a time/date for the ice cream social and confirm the number of residents at the facility. (Please do not offer to drop off the kit for the facility to host without your attendance. This is a fun and relational serving opportunity.)

• Facility name 
• Number of residents  
• Number of puzzles  
• Ice cream social date/time  
• Your desired pickup time daily between 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m (by June 29). 
• The pickup location is at the Blankenbaker Campus, Sports & Fitness building, LifeBridge - Door 55.
