McKeever (Women/Mom's Group)
Brand new mom's day time home group hosted by Allison McKeever. The group will meet in her home on Friday's from 10a-12pm and children are welcome to join. This new mom group will be walking through "Praying Mom: Making Prayer the First and Best Response to Motherhood" by Brooke McGlothlin founder of Million Praying Moms. Praying Mom was sparked by a simple question to thousands of moms: “If you believe you should be praying but you aren’t, why not?” Their answers revealed seven common challenges and beliefs moms have, including: · I don’t know what or how to pray · I don’t know if my prayers really matter · I can’t pray until I get my life together · I’m so busy! The answer Brooke McGlothlin has seen in her years as a prayer mentor is to pray Scripture over your family and yourself. God’s Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12) and does exactly what God purposes (Isaiah 55:11). This means nothing is more powerful and faith-building than praying God’s Word for those you love. Complete with prayers for specific everyday situations, this book will have you making prayer your first and best response to every aspect of family life.

Sue is a 63 year young import to Louisville. She is divorced with two grown daughters, one living here and the other living in the D.C. area. Sue is employed by JCPS as a Family Resource Youth Service Center Coordinator. That's a mouthful to say that she acts kind of like a social worker in the building, helping to remove barriers to children's education. Sue is an avid DIY'er and crafter. She enjoys learning new things and having great conversations from all viewpoints. She also loves audio books. Sue graduated from a faith based high school and went on to spend two years at David Lipscomb University in Nashville. She then moved to Florida and graduated from USF. She loves to study the Bible and learn more about the world around scripture. She believes what the Bible teaches is the priority and human opinion is a distant second. She also believes and desires to have a group where people can come together to discuss and share their perceptions from the Bible to gain greater clarity for everyone. Men's Home Group // Harp and Penick
Just as iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another. This in-person group is for men aging from 25ish – 40ish. Together we will discuss how to be a biblical man in the modern world. Each week we will watch and discuss short video units created by reputable leaders (no prep studying needed prior to the night). Covering topics such as being a man of God, a passionate husband, a sacrificial leader, and having a lifestyle of integrity. This group will be led by Hunter Harp and Jon Penick. If you’re looking for a group where you show up once a week, take notes from a pastor and then never hear from anyone again until the following week, this will not be the group for you. This will be an interactive group with individuals who are broken just like everyone else. Outside of the study, you’re going to be invited to go fishing, play golf, watch the game, or just sit on the couch and chill. Join the group and you can add to the list of fun.

What does it feel like to come back from something hard, to be able to hope again? Hard things are a part of life. Yet they don’t have to have the final word. They can become the keys to our greatest usability in the kingdom of God—that is, if we let God make good of them, rather than running away and refusing the growth we truly crave. Getting Equipped (GE) is Bible reading, Bible memory, and Bible study to help a man develop spiritual rhythms and practices to enhance his walk with Christ. Done in Biblical community, GE'ers invest about two hours per week on their own—and then discuss what God's been teaching them in weekly facilitated small groups. GE'ers form strong friendships as they walk alongside fellow disciples of Jesus, learning about God and what He wants for them and from them. This is a 36-week commitment, with scheduled breaks.

Married Couples of All Seasons Home Group / Wright
We are excited to be forming a brand new group! We would like to welcome anyone to join us. We are in our forties, have been married for twenty-three years, and have two kids attending college. (Which unfortunately means we can’t provide childcare) We will meet weekly in our home behind the Walgreens in Twelve Oaks. We’ll meet Monday evenings at 6:45 pm. We plan to follow the sermon discussion guides, but are open to flexibility on topics as we look forward to growing together in community and faith. This group is led by Brian and Amy Wright.

All ages and stages of life Co-ed, Why We Believe What We Believe / Ryle & Lawson
We are going to explore 40 different questions about our faith and how to have these conversations with others. We will use the book “Keeping Your Kids on God’s Side” by Natasha Crain. While this book is marketed to parents, the content is relevant to all adults and conversations about faith in any setting. We will be discussing common questions around faith and how we can answer them for ourselves and in conversations with others. For example, have you ever wondered why there were so many denominations? Do your co-workers ask you why your God allows evil and suffering? Do your children ask you about creation or evolution? We hope to prepare you for these conversations and much more! This group is led by Madison and Cristy Ryle & Stephen and Camille Lawson.
