Dewar Home Group
Jim & Kim have been married for 42 years. They met at a small Bible college in Maryland, where Jim was a recent convert trying to learn more about his faith, & Kim was a preacher’s kid still in high school. They married after six months & have served as a pastor couple in four states & one Canadian province. They have three daughters & several grandchildren. They recently moved to Louisville from the Oregon coast to be closer to two of their daughters & four of their grandkids. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan, Jim is currently a part-time school bus driver for Miller Transportation, but he is anxious to return to a preaching/teaching role in the Louisville area. He especially loves helping people “connect the dots” where Bible truths are concerned. Kim has a varied background in Human Resources & project management. They both love to read, make new friends, travel, play backgammon & listen to classic 70’s rock! They have led several mission trips to Haiti & have participated in several others. They enjoy introducing people to overseas missions opportunities. Their wish for this group is to be a safe place to ask hard questions, and to encourage believers of all ages to discover practical ways to be the hands & feet of Jesus.

If you love board games, card games, party games-well, any game really- AND love Jesus and people, this is the group for you! The Salladays (Nikki & Adam) welcome you to join us the 3rd Saturday of each month in our home to build relationships and bring friends while trying to build the longest train in Ticket to Ride, exchange wheat in Settlers of Catan, or gather the most cards in Brain Freeze. Adam grew up in Michigan (Go Blue!) and Nikki in Louisville; they've been attending Southeast Christian together for the past three years after moving back to KY. Nikki plays softball and volleyball and Adam enjoys golfing and watching any sport available. A rambunctious Australian Shepherd named Meira will be an entertaining addition to all of our game nights! Parenting group for Moms/ Mom strong study by Heidi St John/ Peterson
Join our 8-week home group as we go through a guided journey of learning to trust God with your deepest parenting questions. There’s nothing wrong with good advice―but today’s moms need so much more than that. We moms are crying out for true wisdom and strength that will teach us how to parent our kids well, and to help us navigate challenges and cultural issues previous generations never saw coming. The Bible tells us that the beginning of wisdom is knowing the Lord. And that’s right where the journey to becoming MomStrong starts. Join Heidi St. John in this six-week Bible study based on her popular book Becoming MomStrong. Each week, you’ll find stories from Heidi, Scriptural reflections, encouraging Bible verses, and prayer prompts to help train your own heart―and your kids’―to know Scripture, hold biblical values, discern true teaching, and develop godly character.

Couples Home Group/ James by Francis Chan Study/ Pendleton
True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who've faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God. Francis Chan unpacks the dense truth contained in the book of James in front of the iconic backdrop of San Francisco, the city where he lives and ministers. Through 12 sessions, Francis works through James verse-by-verse, challenging followers of Christ to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life.

Widows Community Group/ Listening to the voice of God/ Brumley
We believe you belong here & we want to help create a community of women healing and walking through loss whether that loss was last week or ten years ago. Scripture is clear that the church is called to "care for orphans & widows in their distress" James 1:27. Our church family wants you to know you are loved and seen at our campus. We'll start with the Study "Listening to the voice of God" by Margaret Feinberg Every woman has grappled with questions like, How do I know if I m following God s plan for my life? or What does God want me to do in this situation? Whenever we face challenges, struggles, or important decisions, our first place to turn is to God. But who hasn t struggled to discern God s voice just when we need it most? God s Word tells us that He is a lamp unto our feet, but lamps often only illuminate our next step forward. As busy women in today s times, we want to run ahead of God and seek from Him not a lamp, but a spotlight. Listening to the Voice of God will teach women how to slow down, wait on God, and hear His voice through all the clutter of life. In doing so, we can walk with peace and confidence down the path He has set for us.
