Telling Your Child Their Story: Lifebook Workshop

Holding and sharing our kids’ stories with them is one of the most precious and important things we get to do as foster and adoptive parents. And yet, we know this sweet responsibility can be overwhelming and intimidating, too. Friends, we’re here to help! This 4-week training will walk you through the journey of creating a lifebook to capture the story of how your child came to be…and be in your family. Loosely based on “Before You Were Mine”–a lovely resource we recommend by Susan TeBos–our hope is that you leave equipped and excited to walk with your child through their story. This training will be part class/part workshop, and we’ll learn and chat and wrestle through hard things together. We’d love for you to join us! This class will be October 10, October 17, November 7, and November 14 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Note: Be sure to register for childcare if you need it.
