Prayer for Oldham County Schools
During this time where most of our community is working from home or doing school at home, it is important that we remain strong in prayer. Fellowship of Christian Athletes believes that prayer can unify us especially in a time when we are not able to be physically together. We hope to use this time, as a community, to pray for the students, the athletes, the teachers, and the coaches to support them as they all experience lots of change. Prayer unifies, and our hope at FCA in this wild time is to shower the schools and students in prayer. We have an opportunity to do just that specifically for Oldham County. The Oldham County area will pray together every Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Email Cody Elbert at celbert@fca.org to be put on a reminder/encouragement mailing list so you don’t forget to pray for your school and its students/coaches.

COVID-19 Information:
Hey, all. I want to thank you again for all your donations. It has been a huge help to have you guys supporting us in prayer and with donations. We remind our kiddos all the time that they are not forgotten with this pandemic, and you guys have helped support that with your willingness to show up and give to us. We can't thank you enough for that. The kids were discussing boredom and wanted to me to make a list of ideas and items to help deter their lack of things to do. If any of you have any of these laying around that aren't being used that you would like to donate, or if you wanted to pick some of them up, that would be awesome: water balloons, water guns, slip 'n slide, Frisbees, hoverboards, rip sticks ( I had no idea what this was and had to Google it), bike, soft Nerf guns, soft dodge balls, pogo sticks, electronic scooters, tug of war equipment, sidewalk chalk, and soccer goals. If you have anything you would like to donate, or if you have ideas of your own, shoot me an email at amjohnson@sunrise.org. Thanks, Angel Johnson.

Pray for At-Risk Children and Youth
Not everyone is quarantined in a loving home. Many children look to school, church, and youth clubs for a brief window of safety and refuge. Unfortunately, children are now shut in with their abusers and under circumstances which are increasing the use of alcohol, drugs, and violence. Kentucky is already home to the nation's worst child abuse and neglect rates, so we understand that this is a dark hour for child abuse. We are calling on all intercessors and prayer warriors to stand in the gap! Will you commit to praying every Friday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. for the protection of God's children? If so, Safe Passage will send you weekly Scripture and guided prayer points. Email Cara Starns at cara.starns@safepassageky.org for more information and to receive the prayer email.
