Unfortunately, no. This camp is designed specifically for elementary-age children who have or are currently in foster care or who have been adopted.

YES! Camp Empower is a completely different kind of camp experience than SE!KIDS Camp at Country Lake Christian Retreat.

Since Camp Empower is priced at an affordable cost, financial aid is not available.

Since Camp Empower is a unique camp designed specifically for kids who have most likely suffered some kind of childhood trauma due to their birth experience or life in foster care or adoption, we will have a one-on-one buddy ratio for all campers. Additionally, each session will be led by professional experts in child psychology or other related fields of study.

YES! Safety is our number one priority!! All volunteers for Camp Empower will undergo an extensive background check and participate in a mandatory online and in-person training before serving at camp. At NO time will a child be left alone with just one adult or teen.

Yes. Since we have hundreds of kids who could come to camp and only 50 spots available, we require kids to attend each day, all day and the Meet & Greet Celebration, too. If your child cannot attend all 3 days and the celebration, we ask you kindly not register so another child can take his/her spot.

We would love to say, yes; however, this will be a special time when campers and their buddies (constant companion) for camp to meet and get to know each other and the other campers and their buddies, too.
