About SE!Kids Summer Camp 2019


SE!Kids Summer Camp is a camp your incoming elementary student won’t want to miss! Country Lake Christian Retreat in Underwood, Indiana is the campsite we use for amazing adventures designed just for kids! Your camper will experience high-energy worship, gather in small groups to dive deeper into God’s Word, participate in elective activities like the MegaZip, Water Wars and more. Every activity is designed so that your child can connect with other campers, their leaders and Jesus.

Who can attend SE!Kids Camp? – Children who will be going into first through fifth grade. 


Camp 1 – July 16th-17th – 

Incoming 1st & 2nd Graders – one overnight camp 

(Blankenbaker, Indiana, Crestwood, Southwest, LaGrange, E-Town & River Valley)


Camp 2 – July 18th – 21st –

Incoming 3rd – 5th Graders – NEW – this camp week will be for the following Campuses ONLY

(Indiana, Crestwood, Southwest, LaGrange, E-Town & River Valley)


Camp 3 – July 22nd – 25th – 

Incoming 3rd – 5th Graders – NEW – This camp is for Blankenbaker Campus ONLY

Final payments are due by June 14th. Registration will begin February 9th at 5:00pm and close on Friday, June 14th at noon or when full.

Campers registering for 3rd – 5th grade must choose three of the following free electives. Arts & Crafts, Bottle Rockets, Cartooning, Escape Room, Hip Hop Dancing, Low Ropes, Nature Hike, Sports Fun or Water Wars.


NOTE:

The following activities are optional and are an additional charge for Megazip ($10), Paintball ($25), Archery ($7), Axe Throwing ($7) if you choose these activities.

Frequently Asked Questions


1. What is the cost for camp?

Camp for 1st & 2nd Graders is $90 with a deposit of $45

Camp for 3rd – 5th Graders is $240 with a deposit of $75


2. Can campers arrive late to camp or leave early?

Children will not be allowed to arrive late or leave early. Parents will drop off and pick up their children at Country Lake Christian Retreat. With the exception of our E-Town Campus, as they will ride a bus together.


3. How are bunkmates assigned?

Campers are able to choose one bunkmate during online registration. We will do our best to assign them to the same dorm. However, there could be occasions where bunkmates may not be on the same team.


4. What kind of supervision will there be?

We take ample adult and junior leaders to camp, all of whom have been personally interviewed, have successfully completed a background check and all required safety training.


5. Can we change electives or bunkmate once a camper is registered?

We will do our best to put requested bunkmates together. You will have an opportunity to change or add a bunkmate at the Parent Meeting, however, some of the electives are capped and if we have reached the cap for that activity we will be unable to make the change.


6. What do sleeping arrangements look like?

  • Dorms are gender-specific.
  • Dorms are furnished with bunk beds, so you will need to bring bedding.
  • Each dorm will be well supervised by many of our small group leaders.
  • Adults and students do not share beds under any circumstance.


7. Will my child ever be unsupervised?

The schedule is designed to keep the kids with their small groups and/or friends all day long. Our leaders are always around to help keep your camper engaged and well supervised at all times. There will be a minimum of 2 leaders present at all times.


8. What does the registration cost cover?

The registration cost includes all accommodations, meals and most activities. There will be an additional charge for some elective activities.


9. How will I receive communication once my child is registered?

You will receive a confirmation email once you have fully completed registering your child. Closer to camp dates, you will receive detailed information about packing lists and other important information.


10. Can my student bring his/her cellphone?

We ask that your child leave their cellphones at home. We want them to be fully engaged in camp without any outside distractions. We will provide you with a way to contact us if there is an emergency and you need to get a hold of them.


11. Is this an overnight camp?

Yes, your child will sleep in dorms at Country Lake Christian Retreat. Once checked in, all campers will remain at camp, except in an emergency situation.


12. How do we get more information about Country Lake Christian Retreat?

Country Lake’s website Is www.countrylake.org. Check it out to see pictures, get directions and answer questions you may have about the camp.


13. How Do I Request Financial Assistance?

If you are interested in Financial Assistance, you will have an option to request Assistance during the registration process.

14. If I’m Applying For Financial Assistance, Will The Activities With A Cost Be Included In The Financial Request?

No, if you choose any of the activities with a cost, you will be responsible to pay those fees at the completion of filling out the application as well as the $15 processing fee.
